English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch are currently supported.
How accurate is the OCR?
For clearly scanned documents at 200+ DPI, accuracy is typically 95-99%. Blurry or low-resolution scans will have lower accuracy.
Can OCR read handwriting?
No. Tesseract OCR is designed for printed text only. Handwriting recognition requires specialised AI tools.
What DPI should my scan be?
At least 150 DPI for acceptable results, 300 DPI for best accuracy.
Is the output a searchable PDF or a text file?
Currently the output is a plain text file. You can copy the text back into Word or a PDF editor.
